The Sasfin Innovation Portfolio had a strong finish to 2024, increasing 8.3% in US dollars (17.8% in Rands) in the fourth quarter to achieve a total return of 26.7% for the full year (29.9% in Rands).

Over the past 10 years, and since its inception, the portfolio has achieved an annualised return of 19.1% (24.1% in Rands), comfortably outperforming the benchmark’s return of 13.3%.
Most of the fourth quarter’s gain occurred in November, following the election of Donald Trump as the president of the United States. Trump’s policies of lower taxes and less regulation helped push markets to new record highs.
